The Bismark (5ft not 15) is an excellent kit but not one for the complete beginner. my Dad is progressing with his nicely but you don't want to learn to sail with all that lovely etched brass on top.<br /><br />As for clubs - well said. I've never been a club layout man but I know people who have and got a lot out of it. The main thing though is the friendship you get through the shared project.
