This weekend, I'm doing nautical (but nice) things at the International Model Boat show.
Strictly speaking, I'm only doing them on Sunday, but I'll be a visitor today and heading to the IPMS show at Telford on Saturday. My boats - the Bantam Tug and Chairman's challenge vessels - WILL be on the KMBC stand all weekend though. I might even try to get them on the water while I'm there.
All this has prompted me to replace the Bantam's missing fender. New wood has been cut, stained with wood weathering gloop and then sanding sealed. The colour match isn't great but prototypical I think. Surely they replaced these lumps of timber one at a time on the real thing didn't they?
