Saturday Film Club: The Last Great Playset: Matchbox's EPIC 1970s Railway Goods Yard
File this in the "Toys I didn't have, but always wanted" pile. This video hasn't changed my mind - but no, I have too much stuff!
Probably the last decade that kids made their own fun using mostly imagination. Now we have progressed to them staring at screens and pretty much following instructions. Glad I was born back then rather than now.
Looks like fun. I was born too early (in black and white) to remember it. However the play spirit carried on with the Tomy Big Loader set wot my lad enjoyed in the 1990's. Just diggers, no railway .....
