Foghorn
I can't think of anything interesting to say today, so here is a picture of a foghorn on the Isle of Man.
Phil - that’s one of my favourite places on earth. There’s just something liminal about it all. It’s Point of Ayre and I actually heard this thing tested in the 80s when on a BB camp. It works with the most fantastic compressed air system driven by diesel generators. Sadly this one’s defunct.
I grew up within the sound of a foghorn in the north east coast. I can still remember looking at my dad's model railway with that booming away in the distance.
