The cross pieces need to be trimmed a bit as the deck won't sit on them without it. Around 4mm extra width needs to be allowed for - easily accomplished with a razor saw and sandpaper. As always "Measure twice. Cut once" applies, or at least it did for me. The first attempt at marking the cuts required, I was all over the place. Some days you begin to think the markings on the steel rule are actually moving between uses...

More trimming
