Painting a lifebelt

The white is a Humbrol 147/white mix – white but not too white. The red is obviously bright red. Once dry the whole lot was washed over with the thin coat of 121 (Pale Stone) which combined with the slightly dirty turps give a nice warm faded cloth feel to the belt. I worked the wash off the centre of the white sections a bit more than at the ends.
