Saturday Film Club: Forward to First Principles - 1966
This British Transport film might seem a bit Open University with it's study of economic principles, but even if you don't follow the narrative (although it's interesting) there are some cracking pictures of trains.
A superb documentary of its time, a geography lesson and full of hope for Harold Wilson’s White Heat of Technology mantra. Didn’t quite work out and it exposed passively that new motive power was not enough

Cracking film, well worth watching. Love the Cromford incline.
