With a few minutes to kill at Princes Risborough station recently, I took a couple of photos of this old coach, now converted to crew accomodation on the Chinnor & Princes Risborough Railway.
Peering through the windows, it's kitted out with storage, a well-equiped (OK, it has a microwave) kitchen and somewhere to sit and eat.
The vehicle sits on an isolated piece of track which begs the question how it was moved there. Crane? Rolled in and the pointwork removed? Both seem overly complicated.
Anyway, it would make a nice model as it sits behind a working mainline platform. A good use for an old Tri-and clerestory coach perhaps?

At a guess, the easiest options for getting the carriage into position would be
a)Lay temporary track from the mainline to the isolated section. Instead of proper points, cut the main track's rails and slew it over slightly, or get the temporary rails just close enough and transfer each wheel from the main rail to the temporary one using jacks.
b)Move the carriage sideways from the main tracks to the isolated section using jacks, wheel skates, spare sleepers etc.
This is based on how the London Underground Emergency Response Unit do things - they are masters in moving rolling stock all over the place without using cranes.
