What better way to spend Boxing Day than steaming some little locos? Ken laid on some cakes, and suasage rolls appeared from several sources. All very nice.
On track, I ran the Merlin, which behaved itself, even if the steam under the footplate when stationery reminds me that I need to look at the O-rings on the pistons. At one point, it happily hauled three double-deck coaches, and looked good while doing this.
There were a couple of Roundhouse Billies - one with a Jennie tender that really suited it.
The Lady Anne looked good in the shade of green (Bronze green?) normally found on the Roundhouse Garratts.
And finally, another Roundhouse pretending to be an O&K loco, that hadn't been steamed for six years, yet was happily circling the track.
All this makes me want to get my Regner Willi back on track, for which, it appears I need to buy a new lubricator. And build another 32mm gauge loco, for which I am sure I have a kit in the stash!
