Warehouse Wednesday: Old windmill for a shed
Spotted from the car park of a hotel I stayed in recently - that is some impressive shed!
Obviously, a capped windmill would make a very different feature on a layout, and if you can handle the clapperboard, it's not too difficult a scratchbuild.
I have, or had, a book on the windmills of the fens. I recommend a visist to the mill in Moulton https://www.moultonwindmill.co.uk/. As always, if modelling a windmill you should check to see what style is appropriate for the area.
In fact, perhaps warehouse Wendnesday should become Windmill Wednesday...

Would also be a nice place to build a 009 layout, slowly winding it's way up the inside...
Hmm. it's a long 009 layout. I'd go NG7, or even G. Where's the LGB catalogue, with their rack railway system...
