Never mind the beautiful woodwork on the cover of the November issue of Model Boats magazine - feast your eyes on my rather more rough and ready timber wrangling to be found in the article "Boxing Clever" on pages 62 and 63.

While I'm probably not teaching anyone anything they didn't know, the point of the article is to get people thinking. We carry our boats around a lot and yet so many don't make any effort to protect them. As the editor says in his postscript "It is surprising how often more damage is done to a model moving it unprotected around a workshop or house than when it is on the water".

Hopefully someone out there will decide that construction a quick box to house their latest project isn't too difficult and then save themselves the trouble of performing repairs to the pride and joy.
