New bumper required

Tug repair required

No good deed goes unpunished.

The Bantam tug makes an excellent rescue boat - it's manoeuvrable and strong, but after helping shove a yacht with a duff rudder towards the bank, I find one of the wooden bumpers has fallen off.

The stupid thing didn't even have the decency to be floating on the water either, so I'll have to make another one...

Perhaps worth replacing both of them and attaching them in such a way that they are suitable for rescue work?

I'm thinking epoxy rather than superglue next time. The idea of bolting them on place had crossed my mind but I can't get at the inside of the hull to waterproof any holes I make so perhaps not.
