While painting the roads, I managed to knock over the tin of fresh tarmac paint. This is frustrating and smelly. Fortunately, I had my palette knife handy and was able to scoop much of the paint up and drop it back into the pot.
There's still a grey pool on the board, but I was pleasantly surprised how much I managed to save with a bit of quick work.

Let's guess - will tomorrow's blog post feature your adventures with a scrap of wood - and a drill with a 30mm Forstner bit?
Of course, other bit sizes are also available - which is just as well, since that bottle of Plastic Weld is also looking vulnerable.
Joking aside, I'm sure we've all been there with tipping paint, solvent etc..
Why do you think I need those 1 litre cans of Lidl cellulose thinner (or "universal" / "professional" paint thinner, or whatever it was called the last time I bought some)?
I know the stuff works for thinning paint and cleaning brushes - but I'm rather more likely to use it for gluing polystyrene kits, Plastikard etc..
No prizes for working out how I found out about Plastic Weld thinning certain paints and cellulose thinner gluing polystyrene - some serendipitous absent minded "lapses" a while back - followed by reading some online COSHH sheets.
